I read the article about making flies using Model Magic in the last issue, and went out and bought a container. Before trying to use it, I did some experimentation.
This material has some real potential, as it can be modeled into any shape, and dries kind of soft and spongy, and it floats. The problem is, I can't find anything that will seal it so that it doesn't dissolve in water.
I think you'll agree that dissolving in water is a kind of a downside to fly tying material.
Has anyone successfully sealed this material so that it can be used without flies dissolving?
