New Zealand Mud Snails

New Zealand mud snails, a nonnative mollusk that has the potential to devastate California's trout fisheries, have been found in Hot Creek and elsewhere in the Owens River watershed, and more recently in Putah Creek and the the Mokelumne River. It's up to all of us anglers to be informed about this pest.
