Making chum? Here is a fly that may work. Beats swinging a Sabiki rig. These are images of a few PT Sea Nymphs:

Blended PT fibers, flash tail, Epoxy Head over gray monocord

Orange and Olive Blended PT

Pink and Black Blend-Head treated with Loon Hard Head "blue to green" Skalz finish.

Sea Nymph Plus-Flash blended with Red PT. Head treated with Loon Hard Head "green to gold" Skalz finish.

This last Sea Nymph Plus has flash material blended with the two colors of PT prior to wrapping the whole mess along the hook shank.

All of these are tied on size #10 Partridge NiFlor Coated, Flashpointed, high carbon steel SW Shrimp Hooks. I tried them after JP posted on them. These hooks are ultra sharp.

Yikes! Does Jim encyclopedia know abut these? :) What's a Sabiki rig?

Bud-I'll bet Jim encyclopedia would be amused by these. He taught me how to tie his encyclopedia Nymph a few years back & I just can't seem to leave well enough alone  My version, unlike his, is responsible for Zero IGFA World record catches :D Big Difference. I use colored Jim encyclopedia PT feathers and his EC Nymph hooks too; just not on these SW versions. Jim could tie about 30 of his encyclopedia Nymphs in the same amount of time it takes me to make 4 or 5 of these Sea Nymphs.

A Sabiki Rig is a commercially available micro-jig array used to make bait for chumming fishes to the fly.

Hi Richard- why, when I type in the last name of the famous fly angler Jim T-E-E-N-Y (without Hyphons) is it changed to alphabet automatically by the board software?

Rich, the board was hit a while back with a posting for a mitigation site that had the word "encyclopedia" in its address. To prevent this from happening again, I had the board's software replace "encyclopedia" with a random word -- "alphabet," for example -- whenever the former was used. I've just deleted this option, though, so you should be able to type "encyclopedia" without anything weird happening.

Thanks Richard. You can change it back if need be. I was just curious.

Thanks,
Rich
