first fish on a fly, I wish I could be that lucky. I know for me the first, second, third, fourth and so on fish for me was that stick fish. You catch those stick fish on the backcast and the stickfish seem to resemble willow branches.

Nice fish, was it caught on a nymph, streamer?

Wow!

Great post. Thanks for sharing. I never get tired of seeing photos of big browns.

As a kid I lost a fish on Putah that haunts me to this day (it was a bow). Ages have passed. Last summer I went to take a gander at Solano but the weather was hot and my time tight AND, alas, I didn't have a boat or tube. Seems essential for fishing that place.
