Here is a variation on the Case Bearing Caddis theme.
Top view showing the details of the eyes and casing. The green body of the larva is Lt. Olive Floss. The head is dark fine mono.
I used copper and gold flaked art media and embedded the flakes on the fly body using UV Knot sense adhesive. The legs are "Tenticles", which are ultra small, soft rubber starnds often used in making "Rubber buggers". The eyes are 1 MM copper clad, glass, mini-marbles.
It is named the "Sutter's Mill Caddis" because I imagine that the bugs in gold bearing streams might use mica and gold chips to build their casings with
