anyone else get the new L.L. Bean catalog? They have a new stripping basket that looks promising. Less than half the price of the Orvis basket too. all you need to do is perforate it with 3/8" holes. Lots of em

That stripping basket looks pretty cool. You're spot on about needing some holes in it.

It looks kind of shallow in the pic. Any idea how deep it is? Is it the same size depth wise as the one Orvis puts out?

JP- Judging from the belt width, which I place at aprox. 2.25", the basket looks to be about seven (7) inches deep . I have the orvis basket and it is good, but a bit clunky. I sure would like to inspect one of these Bean baskets myself.

BTW-I have found that butterfly wood boring drill bits work very well for cutting clean holes in these type of baskets.
