I'm curious if anyone has targeted leopard sharks on a fly, and what type of flies work. Any recommendation on presentation would also be great. Thanks.

Funny you should ask. I was targeting leopards this past Sunday, throwing several patterns. One particular moment I hooked up but the leopard quickly turned and leader clean snapped. Not sure if I foul hooked or if it munched my Foxee Red.

JD,
You weren't in Andy's in Coronado on Sunday were you? My fishing partner told me heard a story very similar to that. What wieght leader were you using? I got some good info on fliflicker.com about leopards. You may have to go back a couple of weeks/months but it's in there somewhere.

Yep, that was me. I was using 8 lb and may be after them again this weekend. Looking to try 25lb with a red EP. I spoke to a long time San Diegan who says they are pretty much scavengers, but I will keep trying.
