Lower Gorge and PV

Postby SpookedTrout » Mon May 30, 2005 7:50 pm

Hi everyone,
I just got back from fishing at Pleasant Valley and the lower gorge area with my dad. The fishing was good for rainbows like this one.

We also caught Sacramento perch. The high light of the trip was catching this big guy.

Nice photos of nice fish.

I've tubed PVR several times with mixed success. While I've caught the biggest rainbow in my life there (24") I've also been known to spend three days getting skunked.

I like to fish below the power house for the small browns after they shut off the flow until dark.

Nice pics Anothony. Thanks for sharing. I've never float tubed Pleasant Valley Reservoir but I may have to in the near future. Take-care!

Yes, it was hot when I was there. I do not know how the fishing is in the fall or winter since I have not been up there at that time.
