Sad news...SoCalFF passed away

Postby Josh » Thu Dec 06, 2007 8:49 pm

Friends,

I am very sad to say that SoCalFF(Joe Lynch) passed away this weekend. He had been battling cancer. He was truly a great man, father and teacher. He was very active on this site and many other fly fishing forums where he had touched many people. Here is a link to another forum that has a very nice tribute going for him. There is also info for his memorial service as well.

I learned about Joe's passing at the Deep Creek Christmas dinner last Wednesday night. I liked Joe a lot, and although we never got to fish together, I swapped a lot of fishing information with him, as we were both members of the same clubs.
Joe was interested in protecting the fishing on Big Rock Creek (his Empy Beer Can Creek in posts) and I hope others take up that task in his memory.
