It's HOT! NO not the fishing..the temperature. 90 degr. during the day. Trout are deep. 26 feet of water seems to be the magic depth. I fished Grays Landing area west to the SS Relief. Fish were near the bottom in 26 feet. Slow trolling a #4 black bugger got me 4 -15" holdovers. Near dark there was some surface activity. Lots of patience & covering lots of water is the key.

I don't have any info on the panfish/bass fishing. The usual places are Boulder Bay, Grout Bay & the smaller bays on the south side of the lake. I'll see what I can find out.....K

Jim, I've been catching fish at the Observatory & the buoy line down by the dam. I just got back from the buoy line & caught 1 - 17", 2-15", & a 16" about 1/2 hour before dark. Fish are 22- 35 feet deep during the day & move daily.I'd fish those 2 areas first. All were caught on black buggers.

Yes, you're supposed to have a lake permit BUT it depends on who is working the lake patrol boat that day. Just carry $5 with you & if you get stopped pay the $5 daily fee. You can get run over by a crazy wave runner but By God you'd better pay for your permit!
