Welcome to the Cal Fly Fisher board! I hope it's a service that over time becomes useful for you. And it's still very much a work in progress, of course -- ideas on how to improve its utility and functioning will be appreciated. But all that aside, hey: post something and start using the darn thing!
By the way, I'd like this forum to be both productive for its users and positive in tone. Flaming and other modes of ugly behavior will not be tolerated, and the managers of this board will certainly consider deleting posts and locking threads as necessary to keep at bay those who display infantilism or who're nut cases.

Finally!
Great job and well worth the wait. I believe that this site will become a touchstone for all California fly fishers and may become the mother lode for information on fishing the Golden State.

Kudos on the new site Richard. May it generate thousands of new subscriptions to the magazine.
PS - NEVER post any reports on MY backyard waters, ya hear?

Very Cool to have this new West Coast site. I have put quite a few flies in the tying section to get the fire started. This site could become the "Go to" west coast BBS. Good Luck!!

I can't tell you how happy I am that Cal Flyfisher has gone "High Tech". The website is awesome. I am looking forward to watching it evolve.I am especially happy to see the flytying message board. The only thing I suggest at this point is how about hosting a fly tying competition online for local flies. Let internet viewers vote on the patterns and have a certificate or something for the winner? Just a suggestion.
Sincerely,
Rob Brushia

Rob, I like your idea! I'll do it. Let me cogitate on the details for a week or so. And hey, if you or anyone else has ideas on how to implement the contest, let me know!

Hi all,
As a newbie to FF its great to have a resource like CAFF. The printed version is great and I'm sure I'll be visiting the website often. Lots of questions to ask and plenty to learn and know a great place to do both. Thanks for your wonderful site.
Cal

Wonderful site to match the magazine, enjoying the forums.
Any chance of a searchable database of previous magazine articles?
Thanks
roger
